David Randall Silveria was born on September 21, 1972. David started drumming when he was about nine years old. David jammed with many local bands growing up. Through much practice and a constant desire to get better, he created his own style. David's first serious band was LAPD. The band members included Munky and Feildy, but with a different singer(brian was asked to join later for touring). This band would later ask Jon to join the group and get rid of their former singer. David's drumming skills caught the attention of Mike Muir from suicidal tendencies. David can be heard on the new Infectious Grooves album (which includes members of Suicidal Tendancies) and the Sepultura "roots" song. David grew up in Bakersfield, Ca where he learned how to play drums. David married Shannon Bellino in april of 1997. His son David jr. was born on August 22, 1997. David is very good freind of Chi Cheng (of the Deftones), which I found out after talking with Chi. Korn named the second song "Chi," off of Life is Peachy, after him as well. Aside from drumming, David has also done some modeling for 26 Red. Their rivals Grind, have also signed him to do a few adds. He has recently signed a deal with Calvin Clein to support their dirty denim (you can see a two page ad in the current Rolling Stone magazine). David has four tattoo's, his wifes name on his upper back, a korn tatoo of baby blocks on his lower back, a cheshire cat on his left arm and a character with a drum stick through his tounge on his right arm. |
